PSHE
Here at Sylvan Infant school we strive for all our children to achieve their full potential, not just academically, but socially too. We nurture our children and help them develop their social skills through PSHE sessions (Personal, Social ,Health Education). We currently teach the children using the ‘Jigsaw’ scheme of work which starts at the Early Years Foundation Stage and can continue up to year 6. As soon as the children start school with us, they receive weekly PSHE sessions lasting approximately 45 minutes. Jigsaw brings together PSHE education, emotional literacy, social skills and spiritual development in a comprehensive scheme of learning. All of these pieces of learning are brought together to form a cohesive picture, helping children to know and value who they are and understand how they relate to other people the world.
We want to See Young Learners Valued and Achieving Now at Sylvan.
